Behind the Wheel of the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander

The 2014 Outlander driven:

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Automotive.com drove the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander and they have great things to say. According to the reviewers, the Outlander is a perfect vehicle for those with a larger family; the three row seating is perfect for carrying around children, and the $24,000 price tag makes it both practical and affordable.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Interior
Exterior restyling was kept to a minimum, but the interior has both upgraded technology and safety features. The two the reviewers sampled were the SE and GT trim levels; the SE has a 6.1-inch touch-screen display with navigation; the GT's screen was a 7-inch. There's a Lane Departure System that can be turned on or off, and everything was within an easy arms length.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Seating
The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander was praised for its comfortable seats, and the third row seats can be folded down if needed for extra cargo space. The third row seats are specifically designed for children, accommodating a family well.

"SUVs with three rows of seating are a rare breed. SUVs with three rows of seating and a starting price tag of $24,000 are almost non-existent," wrote the Automotive.com reviewer. The 2014 Outlander is also backed by its 10-year/100-mile powertrain warranty and five years of roadside assistance.

The 2014 Outlander hasn't reached dealerships just yet, but is expected to this summer. If you like to see our current inventory, view our 2013 Outlander inventory here! We'll keep you posted when we know an exact date, and in the meantime, happy driving!

The Future of Charging Electric Vehicles: Wireless?

Mitsubishi currently researching ways to make a wireless EV charger

Mitsubishi Electric Vehicle Wireless ChargingThose who are in the market or have done research on Electric Vehicles (EVs) have undoubtedly ran into the question of charging and range. How long will this vehicle run for without a charge? How long must you charge it? All of these are legitimate questions for those in the market for an EV. Well, Mitsubishi is working on a better solution; a technology that would charge EVs with wireless remote charging. This technology would not only allow an EV to have an infinite driving range, but could also potentially be able to keep gadgets (phones, tablets, computers, etc.) powered up indefinitely.

This is a great direction for Mitsubishi and Electric Vehicles in general! Take a look at our inventory of Mitsubishi's EV, the i-MiEV here!

"Mitsubishi Lancer SE Designed for 'Snowbelt States'"

We just saw this great review on the Mitsubishi Lancer SE, that coins it as a car that's designed for Snowbelt states. Sally Miller Wyatt of The Reporter gives great information on why the Lancer is a great car to drive if you're someone who lives in an area with tough road conditions - like us!

Wyatt writes that it's fuel efficient, stylish, zippy, "perfect for commuters or parents who spend just as much time on the road shuttling children from school to after-school activities as they do getting to and from work."

The specific Lancer they reviewed is the SE, which has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). It has Mitsubishi's All-Wheel Control all-wheel drive system, as well as heated front seats, heated side mirrors, 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents.

A Deluxe Package adds FUSE HandsFree Link System, sunroof, an extra two speakers and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as an optional Navigation Package.

"Behind the wheel, I found a simple and uncomplicated dashboard, comfortable seats and very good visibility. On the road, I found the car handled very well, offered virtually no road noise at freeway speed, and had a good amount of room for rear seat outboard passengers," wrote Wyatt.

She adds that overall the Mitsubishi Lancer is a nice-looking, mid-sized sedan with spunk, and is a good size for a small family.

We've probably made it past the worst of the snow this year, but who can be sure? Plus, there's always another Vermont winter coming at us next year :) Take a look at our 2013 Mitusbishi Lancer inventory here.
