Mitsubishi Previews Diesel Hybrid Pickup Concept

Mitsubishi will be unveiling a new concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month; a diesel hybrid pickup. It's called the Concept GR-HEV (shown right) and is said to be a "sport utility hybrid truck". It's powered by a complex powertrain that includes a diesel engine and electric motors. There is full-time four-wheel drive and Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control system as seen on the Lancer Evo.

Mitsubishi will also be showing a next-generation electric showcar called the CA-MiEV (shown lower right), which is designed in the hope that they can take away the urban limits from EVs with its range of 186 miles.

We'll post clearer pictures and more info after the show! In the meantime, be sure to check out our new Mitsubishi inventory here.

Outstanding January Sales for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Mitsubishi has just reported their year-over-year sales increases for all of their models, and the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has sold nearly 21 percent more units this January than last - at 1,350. This is the fifth month in a row that sales of the Outlander Sport have increased.

"Outlander Sport continues to resonate with consumers looking for fuel efficiency in a CUV that does not sacrifice style or performance," said Yoichi Yokozawa Mitsubishi Motors North America president & CEO. He also added that a special edition Outlander Sport will be launched in March in order to celebrate 30 years of Mitsubsihi sales in the US.

Go Mitsubishi! It's not a surprise to us that the 2013 Outlander Sport is doing so well; it's a great CUV! Be sure to take a look at our 2013 Outlander Sport inventory here. Happy driving all!
